The Tactical Switch Module is a compact, field-ready system for converting optical signals from a fiber optic line into a digital signal and multiple network connections. It ensures a stable and fail-safe data connection even under demanding operating conditions – including an integrated emergency power supply.

critical infrastructure applications, a stable data connection is essential for communication, control, and
situational awareness.
The challenge was to realize a compact system, as shown above, that distributes signals while
simultaneously ensuring high operational reliability. In addition to signal conversion, the system
needed to remain operational during power outages.
All necessary components (signal conversion, network distribution, and
power supply) had to be integrated into a very compact, robust housing without restricting
operational capability or usability.
With the Tactical Switch Module, a solution was developed that consistently meets these requirements. The
system combines fiber-to-RJ45 conversion with an integrated switch function,
enabling the direct distribution of network signals within a compact system with
various data streams. An integrated battery ensures that operation can be maintained for several hours
even in the event of a power failure.
The robust design in a 1000-series case reliably protects sensitive technology from external influences.
At the same time, the compact design allows for easy integration into existing systems as well as
fast and flexible on-site deployment.
